This Veteran's Day, Send Your Thanks to an American Serviceman
I am honored to have been selected as one of the participants in Penguin's "Send a Message to an American hero" program. Because I was one of the first 500 participants to respond to their e-mail, a message I wrote expressing my gratitude to our troops will be printed and enclosed inside a copy of Tom Clancy's newest book, Dead or Alive, which will in turn be given to a service man or woman recovering at Walter Reed as a gift for the holidays, compliments of Tom Clancy and G. P. Putnam's Sons. If you would like to participate, you can still send a message to a soldier at Walter Reed by contributing a message to their digital guestbook, which will be accessible to soldiers everywhere online through the end of the year. Here is the link. Please add your message today, or on Veteran's Day, and share the link with your friends and family.
I am currently working as a children's librarian in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. For more on my background, click on my photo to go to my About Me page. You can reach me by commenting on this blog or by e-mail at email@example.com. If you would like to send me a galley, please contact me for my mailing address.
Some of the books reviewed were received as advance review copies from Amazon Vine or directly from the publisher. Others may have been purchased or checked out from the library. I am willing to receive copies of appropriate books from publishers for review on this blog. Please contact me for further information.
